Change is good, yes? It's just life....but goddammit when did I become so boring? I have found myself, as of late, having more time to myself and honestly, enjoying the company. I've also become an avid bird watcher. My backyard has become the arena (fighting and fucking frenzy) for MANY birds including robins with their fledglings, doves, finches, grackles, sparrows, warblers, fly catchers, bluejays, and as of today 2 unidentified birds that visited briefly. Hopefully I'll see them again soon and be able to identify them. I know.....boring huh?

Speaking of frenzy, I've been on a reading frenzy for the past month. I started my frenzy with a book titled "Feng Shui For The Soul" by Denise Linn. It was interesting but very predictable. I found myself saying, "I've done that already", "I say that all the time", and finally I decided that I should have written that book because everything she said about spiritual balance in the home as she related it to Feng Shui and the Native American Medicine Wheel.....I had already thought through years ago. She stole my ideas and theories...

I then found a book called 'The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. It was thought provoking but a bit on the downer side which lately I haven't needed any help with the downer side of life.

I then switched to Ray Bradbury....ahhh yes, "Dandelion Wine". Quite interesting but left me wanting more. So I picked up "The Cat's Pajamas" which is a collection of his short stories. I really enjoyed these and in Bradbury style, some were quite strange.

Last but by no means least, I started a book today by David Sedaris titled "When You Are Engulfed In Flames". This guy is a genius with wit. I read the first few pages and I found myself laughing hysterically. Exactly what I need right now.

Sometimes a person just has to sit back, remove themselves from the chaos of life, sip slowly on the bitter juice of experience, light a cigarette....and say "What the fuck ever!"
